JOHN L HENSEY BUS UPDATE for Friday, Sep 3 Bus #55 (Purple) will not be used tomorrow. *All Morning Bus Times Unchanged *Afternoon Bus Time Changes: Bus 55 Riders going to TALL OAKS will ride Bus 11 (Red) -- NO TIME CHANGES for Bus 11 or 55/Tall Oaks. All other Bus 55 riders will ride Bus 99 (Green). Regular Bus 99 times will be unchanged. Bus 55 riders heading to Bittersweet/Jasmine, Rolling Meadows South, & 2241 Washington Rd will be DELAYED 15 MINS. Regular bus schedule in place on Tuesday, Sep 7. THANK YOU for your flexibility!

Hensey Parents - The Pantherette Dance Clinic is on Saturday, October 9th and the Pantherettes are excited to meet and work with any interested dancers. Please have your student pick up a form in the main office!

District 50 Families, Our annual safety drills are underway to teach every student the safety precautions necessary for a safe school year. Softball pictures will be at 2:30 on Monday, August 30th, at the field. Players should be dressed and on the field at 2:30. To place an order, please use the order form attached.

WILDCAT XC REMINDER: Today's Mini Illini Cross Country Meet has been rescheduled for September 16.

ATTENTION PARENTS: This is just a friendly reminder that dismissal is 1:30 for Beverly Manor and 2:00 for John L. Hensey today and every Wednesday for the rest of the school year.

Dental Sealants Deadline, All Hensey and Manor families interested in their students participating in the Dental Sealants program for a free dental examination must have their purple forms turned into your school's office before 3:00 today. If you lost your form, we do have extras in the main offices.

Cross Country Meet on Thursday POSTPONED until SEPTEMBER 16. Due to forecasted heat conditions, the Mini Illini Invitational Meet in Pekin on Thursday has been rescheduled to September 16th.

HENSEY PARENTS: This is just a reminder that if you would like your child to take advantage of the free dental services the form has to be returned by tomorrow, August 24th.

While we are not anticipating a school closure at this time, we would like to make everyone aware of the process in place and to be prepared that the potential exists for school closures related to COVID-19. In the event conditions warrant closure of our schools, we have been informed that it must be authorized by the Tazewell County Health Department, with the goal of reopening schools as soon as possible. During an authorized closure, our schools will switch to Remote Learning Days which will count as official student attendance days. Mrs. Trimble will communicate with parents and staff related to expectations for Remote Learning Days.

Dear Washington District 50 Parents and Staff Members, When we are notified that a student or staff member has tested positive for COVID-19, our staff will perform contact tracing. We will contact by phone any employee and the primary parent/guardian contact for any student who was found to have been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive individual. In addition, you can access the COVID-19 Dashboard link on our district’s website. The link went active yesterday - August 17, 2021 - and lists a seven day running total for COVID-19 numbers in our district. The dashboard information will be updated each Friday. Our two priorities for this school year continue to be: (1) protecting the safety and well being of students and staff, and (2) doing everything in our power to keep our schools open for in-person learning. Attention Beverly Manor Band! Beverly Manor's Band sign-up night will take place Monday, August 16th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It is an open house style night. Come when available. It should take around 20 minutes to get your instrument set up.
