January Students of the Month @ Beverly Manor
We are excited to announce our star students from January and their nomination reasons. I hope they enjoyed their candy bars!
Emma Linn: Emma is a polite, respectful, organized, and responsible young woman. She will do anything for anyone. It is rare for an 8th grader to put aside any "social norms" and help any student who needs it.
Elijah Eckart: Elijah is a kind, responsible student. He is very respectful to all staff and peers. He is attentive in class, helpful to his classmates, cheerful, and polite to teachers and staff members!
Landin Ruff: All three teachers agree that he is a good choice. He is quiet and respectful, gets his work done, and is an ideal student.
Jordan Phegley: Jordan is consistently following the classroom. She always does the right thing and is a constant helper in the classroom.
Connor Wiese: He has great academic standing and shows model student qualities.
Pierce Bernius: Pierce is new to Beverly Manor this year, and he has absolutely rocked 6th grade. Pierce works extremely hard every school day. His star test scores have skyrocketed, and his class grades reflect his dedication to his school work. Pierce asks for help when he needs it, always makes sure no one is left out, and asks for extra practice materials to take home. Even though the flu tried to get Pierce down, he won't let it! He stayed on top of all his school work and even did extra. Pierce makes me so proud to be his teacher!
Julia Johnson: Julia is a very hard-working student who always gives 100%. She is the first to volunteer to help other students and the teacher no matter what that work may entail. She is a true leader to her peers and those around her. Julia always makes responsible decisions to better herself and her classmates.
Austin McCoy: Austin is really good at staying focused on his school work and getting it done in a timely manner. He is always responsible and stays on top of making sure he always has everything turned in and it is his best work. He is always willing to help me out around the classroom and always is in a positive mood. He gets along with his peers well and doesn't have behavior issues with anyone. I know I can always count on him for being a good example for other students to follow.
Rian McKinney: Rian is the sweetest, most helpful girl. She is always asking if she can do anything for me in the classroom. She is kind to everyone and gives her best effort on her work.
Rylee Tisdale: Rylee is a hard worker and a very responsible student. She is a friend to all and always has a positive attitude!
It’s 8th grade night for the wrestling team! Come on out to WCHS to cheer them on at 5:00! Student recognition at 4:50.
Everyone at John L. Hensey would like to give a HUGE shout out to the Washington High School Jazz Band.
Thank you for taking the time to come and play for us today!!!
Good morning Beverly Manor Guardians,
Don’t forget that parents must use the drop off lane in the morning and pick up lane in the afternoon. There is no thru traffic (short cut drop off) from 7:30-8:05. During pick up, kids should meet you in the pick up lane away from the bus pick up. Traffic jams aren’t fun, but kids are our priority so safety trumps short cuts.
Thank you!
Congratulations to the Central Trojans! The Wildcats wish you the best of luck as your 7th grade team competes for 3rd place in state and your 8th grade team prepares for state as well. Good luck and go Washington!
Good afternoon District 50 Community,
We strive to make safety a top priority and due to the decreasing temperatures and wind chills set to be as low as -6 degrees this evening, we will be canceling our extracurricular activities (volleyball's away game and the 5th-6th home basketball game)
We understand the frustration as kids are practicing so hard, but we appreciate your understanding in promoting safety.
Thank you and stay warm!
ATTENTION 8th Grade Parents!!!!!!
Thursday, February 20th is 8th grade orientation night at WCHS from 6pm-9pm. Please make sure to attend this with your student.
Just a reminder...Manor shuttle bus riders are not allowed to enter the building at Hensey before 7:30 in the mornings. There is no one to supervise students before that time. Latchkey students are allowed to enter but must report to the latchkey room.
Good morning District 50!
We ARE in session today so please don't forget to drive carefully and dress warm for this chilly day as temperatures will be higher this morning than in the afternoon.
See you soon!
Student Helpers - On a daily basis during the month of February we are focusing in on our Will of a Wildcat pillar of citizenship. Several of our students at our Wildcat Store bought the opportunity to work with our maintenance staff to help keep our building tidy and clean. It is great seeing such young wildcats take great pride in their school and community.
