Monkey Joe's Field Trip -
Mr. Zaiser and Mrs. Stewart are extremely overjoyed with how every Wildcat at the field trip showed so much citizenship today at Monkey Joe's. We had lots of parents tell us how well behaved they were and so helpful to their children. We love that they are willing to help little kids in need. Unfortunately, not every student was able to bring money for games but every student that did bring money split up their tickets and every student could bring home a prize. WAY TO GO WILDCATS!!!!
Tonight's the Night! Participants of the Wildcat Wonders Talent Show will take the stage at Connect Church beginning at 6:00pm. A bus will be available for Manor students who wish to attend the talent show. The bus will leave the circle drive at Manor at 5:15pm sharp.

Dear Washington District 50 Staff Members and Parents,
The safety of students and staff is our top priority. We are writing to inform you that we have been notified that a student at Beverly Manor School recently tested positive for Parvovirus B19. Administration contacted the Tazewell County Health Department and they recommended we pass along the information listed below to staff members and parents.
(1) Parvovirus B19 commonly causes fifth disease and is not a reportable infectious disease.
(2) Symptoms usually show up as a mild rash illness in children. Adults can also get infected with parvovirus B19 resulting in fifth disease too. Less common symptoms include painful or swollen joints, which is more common in adults. About two out of 10 people who get infected with the virus will have no symptoms.
(3) The incubation period is 14 days, so parents should monitor their children for up to two weeks to see if they display any of the above listed symptoms. Based on information that the school has received from the family, we believe this particular child would have been able to transmit the virus sometime between December 30, 2019 and January 12, 2020, some of which would have been during winter break. Transmission is no longer an issue for this particular child.
(4) Parvovirus B19 spreads, similar to a cold, when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It can also spread through blood or blood products. A pregnant woman who is infected with parvovirus B19 can pass the virus to her baby. Any pregnant woman who may have been exposed should contact their obstetrician or health care provider as soon as possible.
(5) There is no vaccine or medicine that can prevent parvovirus B19 infection. You can reduce your chances of being infected or infecting others by (a) washing your hands often with soap and water, (b) covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, (c) not touching your eyes, nose, or mouth, (d) avoiding close contact with people who are sick, and (e) staying home when you are sick.
(6) The Tazewell County Health Department said to refer staff and parents to the CDC’s website for detailed information concerning Parvovirus B19 and Fifth Disease via the following link. https://www.cdc.gov/parvovirusb19/about-parvovirus.html
Again, the safety of students and staff is our top priority. If you have additional questions, you may contact me at (309) 745-8914 or the Tazewell County Health Department at (309) 925-5511.
Sincerely,
Chad Allaman, Superintendent
