District 50 8th Grade Students, Family, and Friends,
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and a disappointing end to your 8th grade year, Lindsay.K.Photography (LKP) would like to provide the opportunity
to show your community how proud you are to be a D50 Wildcat Graduate.
LKP is offering Graduate Yard Signs to display in your neighborhood. There are 2 signs to choose from:
Option #1: Sign customized with Graduates Name and Year ($20)
Option #2: Sign customized with Graduates Photo, Name, and Year ($25)
If you are interested in Option #2, LKP will be taking photographs at the American Legion (211 Legion Rd. Washington, Il.) on Thursday April 23rd from 4-6pm. LKP will be taking precautions to keep you and your family safe. We ask that you stay in your cars until someone comes to get you. You do not have to sign up for a time, just arrive between 4-6pm. This will only take 3-5min per student. Payment can be made via cash, check made to LKP, or Paypal to lindsay@lindsaykphotography.net and is due that day.
For families choosing Option #1 please email me at lindsaykelley82@gmail.com with parents name, students name as it will appear on the sign, address, phone number, and quantity. Payments can be made via Paypal to lindsay@lindsaykphotography.net.
ORDERS ARE DUE by Monday April 27th at 4pm. Orders will take 1-2 weeks to be processed and will be available for pick-up at Beverly Manor. We will get back to you with the date once they have been ordered.
As a D50 alumni myself, and to show support for the graduates, a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to D50's Activity Fund.
Families are able to order as many signs as they wish for their graduate. If you have any questions please contact Lindsay at 309-360-4782 or lindsaykelley82@gmail.com.
I am looking forward to helping make this memorable for the graduates!

Our area nurses are working tirelessly and our District 50 Wildcats were searching for a way to show our appreciation or make their lives a bit simpler. Thanks to Mr. Poole and our 3-D printers, we were able to provide some mask supports to the nurses at Methodist and the Tazewell County Sheriff's Department to help ease the stress on their ears.
From our family to yours, we thank you for everything!

We are happy to FINALLY announce the 2020 WCHS Color Guard Auditions!!!
This year's auditions will be a brand new experience for all of us as we are moving to a virtual tryout. What does that mean? Well, all parts of the audition process will happen online. The routines will be taught via video recording and auditions will be submitted online as well.
Beginning THIS Thursday, 4/16 through Saturday 4/18 we will be releasing roughly 1/3 of the dance and flag audition routines each morning. The routines will be "taught" in the video, similarly to how we would have taught them in person. On the final day we will also release videos of the full routines so you can practice right along with the choreographers. In addition, we will be holding virtual meetings with both choreographers so you can ask questions, clarify moves, etc.
Then, beginning Sunday 4/19 we will post information on how you can submit your audition. We will accept audition recordings from Sunday 4/19 through Tuesday 4/21 at 9pm. Every effort will be made to select the team and post results by the following Sunday, 4/26, if not before.
Please fill out the attached Google audition form so we can be sure we have names and emails for all students who will be submitting an audition. Note for students: this is a different form than those you may have filled out at Winter Rehearsals. EVERYONE who is trying out should fill out this form.
If you are in need of a flag to use for the auditions, we will have a ONE TIME ONLY flag distribution. We have TENTATIVELY set this for this Thursday, 4/16 from 1pm-2pm in the circle drive at WCHS. All social distancing guidelines will be strictly followed and the equipment will be thoroughly sanitized prior to distribution. There is a section of the audition Google Form to fill out if you will need a flag. We are awaiting admin approval for the distribution date, so please check back to be sure of correct date and time.
If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to email Mrs. Brent at mebrent@wacohi.net. We know this is not an ideal situation, but we are looking forward to getting our team selected and moving towards the 2020 Marching season!
