Several students in Ms. Houlahan's 6th grade helped in a community service project by visiting our high traffic library and doing some tidying up for Mrs. Burmeister. It was great to see them lending a hand and donating some of their time for a good cause! Several of them wrote about their experience and how to help in other ways. Check it out below: I cleaned the library by cleaning the chairs and tables, dusting the book shelves and air vents. I felt great when I was done cleaning the library. I can help others by helping them in work, helping them by wrapping gifts, help them with something that they don’t know or don’t know it yet, help them if they are stuck on something, I can help them on anything if I know how to do it. By cleaning the house I am helping my mom and dad. --- What I did to help clean the library: I dusted and I did the lint roller, cleaned the tables and chairs. How I felt after I cleaned the library: I felt calm and happy. What other things I can do to help other people: I can help my parents, by being nice and help clean and giving them a gift. --- What I did to help clean the library: I cleaned the chairs, vents and dusted. How I felt after I cleaned the library: I felt good and proud of myself. What other things I can do to help other people: I can do the same thing I did in the library and more like, clean the windows when I’m at home, I can clean the wood in the house, I can clean my room and feed my pets. When I clean my house I help my mom. --- To clean the library I did the lint roller, Cleaned tables, cleaned chairs, and I also dusted shelves. After I cleaned the Library It felt Good helping someone That needed help cleaning. I can help more people, like my mom, to clean the house.

WCHS students from Ms. McLauchlan’s class visited several 5th grade students to present homemade RTI Reading manipulatives for hands on story telling and reading strategies. They even stayed to listen to our students read and use the manipulatives in the stories. We are so thankful!
