
D50 Wildcats fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 14-9 loss to Fieldcrest on Saturday. Fieldcrest scored on a single by #16 and a double by #10 in the first inning.
Despite the loss, D50 Wildcats did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Fieldcrest had 17 hits on the way to victory.
Fieldcrest fired up the offense in the first inning, when #16 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Payton W toed the rubber for D50 Wildcats. She lasted seven innings, allowing 17 hits and 14 runs while striking out five.
D50 Wildcats tallied ten hits. Maddie I, Brooklyn B, Olivia O, Joslyn S, and Keyarah C each racked up multiple hits for D50 Wildcats.

Softball takes the field tomorrow at 9:00 and 1:00 for our triangular with Dunlap Middle and Fieldcrest! Unfortunately, we will not be serving concessions, but Kona Ice will be available. Baseball takes on Washington Central at Central for a double header at 10:00am.

Beverly Manor Wildcats Overcome Dee-Mack Jr High Braves In Face Of Early 4-Run Inning
Beverly Manor Wildcats weathered a push by Dee-Mack Jr High Braves in the sixth inning where Beverly Manor Wildcats coughed up four runs, but Beverly Manor still won 13-7 on Thursday. Micah Knott and Andrew Spurlock each had RBIs in the big inning.
The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Beverly Manor Wildcats collected 16 hits and Dee-Mack Jr High Braves had six.
Beverly Manor Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning, when Gavin Lawrence singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Beverly Manor Wildcats put up five runs in the sixth inning. Beverly Manor Wildcats offense in the inning was led by Michael Mendoza, AJ Bush, Jackson Sonderman, Lawrence, and Jacob Walker, all driving in runs in the inning.
Lawrence got the win for Beverly Manor. He surrendered two runs on one hit over four innings, striking out six. Walker and Sonderman entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Dalton Burr took the loss for Dee-Mack Jr High Braves. He went three and a third innings, allowing eight runs on 11 hits.
Beverly Manor Wildcats collected 16 hits on the day. Lawrence, Jaxson Fries, Mendoza, and Chance Mason each had multiple hits for Beverly Manor. Lawrence led Beverly Manor Wildcats with four hits in four at bats. Dalton Morgan led Beverly Manor Wildcats with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
Spurlock went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Dee-Mack Jr High Braves in hits.

Beverly Manor Wildcats tallied five runs in the fifth inning. Jacob Walker, Isaac Lakin, Thomas Diederich, Jackson Sonderman, and Michael Mendoza each drove in runs during the inning.
Dalton Morgan got the win for Beverly Manor. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out four. Diederich threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Bacon was on the pitcher's mound for Peoria Hollis. He surrendered six runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out five. Lindsay threw one inning in relief.
Beverly Manor tallied one home run on the day. Gavin Lawrence put one out in the third inning.
Beverly Manor Wildcats racked up nine hits on the day. Walker, Lawrence, and Chance Mason each managed multiple hits for Beverly Manor Wildcats. Chance Mason, Lawrence, and Walker each managed two hits to lead Beverly Manor Wildcats.

Attention District 50 Parents, Guardians, and Visitors,
Unfortunately the drop-off and pick-up lane at Beverly Manor School will be closed for a minimum of the remainder of this week. A section of concrete is being removed to repair a pipe and then repoured. We will utilize the front parking lot for drop off and pick up for the time being until the concrete has cured and notify everyone of when the lane reopens. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience. This drop-off/pick-up closure is only in effect at Manor.
Special reminder that today is a 2:00 pm dismissal for Manor and 2:30 for Hensey.

Today is our first 1 hour early dismissal Wednesday. Beverly Manor students will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m. and John L. Hensey School lets out at 2:30 p.m.

WCHS Cheer Clinic 2019 is soon approaching. Cost is $25, and the clinic date is Sunday September 8th from 1-3:30 p.m. for all K-8th graders. The clinic is held at WCHS in the gym. Registration forms can be picked up in the office, but MUST be returned to WCHS by August 30th.

Baseball practice has also been cancelled for today.

Tonight’s home softball game has been cancelled due to the weather and field conditions. No softball practice today, weather permitting there will be practice tomorrow. Thank you!
